Phillips Coaching is proud to announce the launch of the SBC Emerging Athlete Academy, delivered in partnership with St Bernards College. The program will commence in Term 4, 2025 for Year 7 students and represents the first step in a broader sports initiative, with Basketball and Soccer academies to follow in Term 1, 2026.
The initiative represents a significant step in redefining how schools support young athletes – combining elite coaching expertise with a holistic focus on mind, body, and craft. Students will be guided to grow not only as footballers, but as confident, resilient young people who embody St Bernard’s vision and values.
Simon Lloyd, CEO of Phillips Coaching, said:
“This partnership reflects Phillips Coaching’s commitment to building programs that inspire young athletes to reach their full potential. The SBC Emerging Athlete Academy will provide students with the tools to grow in confidence, develop resilience, and believe in themselves – both on the field and in life.”
John White, Director of Sport at St Bernard’s College, added:
“We’re proud to partner with Phillips Coaching on this exciting new initiative. The SBC Emerging Athlete Academy offers a unique development pathway that reflects St Bernard’s commitment to helping students belong, believe, and become. Through expert coaching, holistic well-being support, and meaningful opportunities, this program will create lasting benefits for our students.”
The SBC Emerging Athlete Academy opens a new chapter in the College’s sporting and educational journey, empowering students to grow as athletes and as individuals.
